Introduction — Julien, creator of BaitsAttack.
A fisherman since the age of 4, I no longer have an exact memory of the first time I held a fishing rod, but what I am certain of is that I grew up 50 meters from a body of water with six ponds. Fascinated by fishing from a very young age — despite a father who did not always want me to accompany him — I quickly learned to manage on my own, which allowed me to gain extensive experience. Coming from a large family, I neither had the latest gear nor the means to buy commercial bait. This is how, from my first years of carp fishing in the 1990s, I began making my own homemade boilies. And quickly, I started catching impressive fish at a time when carp were not yet overfed.
Trained in cooking and pastry, I have gained solid knowledge of flours, sweeteners, thickeners, flavors, and colorings. This background, combined with my many years spent by the water, has allowed me to better understand the boilies that carp truly enjoy.
But never forget: boilies are not everything. Even though many manufacturers claim that their baits are the best (and they are probably right in some waters), for me, two things make all the difference:
The freshness of the product
The quality of the basic ingredients: healthy, fresh, and natural
An appropriate distribution: fast, slow, or multi-layered depending on the situation
And above all, knowledge of its water body: type of bottom, available food, passage areas
At the home of BaitsAttack, Vegetable flours are ground just before manufacturing, and flavors and colorings are often of natural origin.
I hope that these few lines will teach you a little more about me, my background, and my passion. My goal is simple: to offer you quality baits that work quickly… to attract carp more effectively and faster.
